The Four Steps
Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using The Four Steps. By accessing or using the application, website, or related services (together, the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The App is operated by David H. Rosmarin, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a Massachusetts limited liability company. You can contact us at info@dhrosmarin.com.
The Four Steps is a self-help tool designed to help you understand and work with everyday anxiety using a structured method. It is intended for general educational and self-improvement purposes only.
The App is not health care. The App does not provide medical or mental-health treatment, diagnosis, therapy, or professional advice. It is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.
No professional relationship is created. Your use of the App does not create a therapist–client, physician–patient, or any other professional or fiduciary relationship between you and us, or between you and any clinician associated with the App. Content generated within the App, including any responses produced by automated or artificial-intelligence systems, is not professional advice and should not be relied upon as such.
No outcomes are guaranteed. We make no promise that the App will reduce your anxiety, improve your wellbeing, or produce any particular result. Individual experiences vary.
The App is not designed for crises or emergencies and must not be used as an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, are thinking about harming yourself or others, or believe you may be in danger, contact your local emergency services right away — for example, in the U.S., call 911 or call or text the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. From anywhere in the world, findahelpline.com lists local crisis lines. Do not rely on the App for help in an urgent or life-threatening situation.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms. The App is not intended for and may not be used by anyone under 18.
The App may suggest or offer to connect you with independent third-party services, including professional assessment or treatment providers such as Center for Anxiety. Any such provider is a separate and independent entity. We do not control, employ, supervise, endorse the specific care of, or take responsibility for any third-party provider or the services they deliver. A referral or suggestion is not a guarantee of treatment, availability, suitability, or any particular outcome, and any relationship you form with a third-party provider is solely between you and that provider. You are responsible for evaluating whether any third-party service is appropriate for you.
You agree to use the App only for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws. You agree not to:
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for how you choose to act on anything you encounter in the App.
The App uses automated systems, including third-party artificial-intelligence models, to generate responses and guide your experience. These responses are produced by software, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and do not reflect the judgment of a human professional. You should exercise your own judgment and seek professional help where appropriate. See our Privacy Policy for information about how your inputs are processed.
The App, including its content, method, text, design, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal use in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the App or its content without our permission.
You understand and agree that using a self-help tool for anxiety carries inherent limitations and risks, including the possibility that the App may not help you or may prompt reflection that is temporarily uncomfortable. You use the App voluntarily and at your own risk, and you accept responsibility for your own decisions and wellbeing, including the decision to seek professional care.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any content will be accurate or reliable.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our owners, members, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us to use the App in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the App or its users. You may stop using the App at any time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Massachusetts will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements on that subject.
If you opt in to receive text messages from us, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages, including check-in reminders and safety/referral-related messages, at the mobile number you provide, at a frequency that varies based on your chosen cadence (up to several times per week). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using the App. We do not share your mobile opt-in information or phone number with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to info@dhrosmarin.com.
